Derby Day Magic at Old Barn Winery

This past weekend, we had the absolute joy of spending Derby Day at the gorgeous Old Barn Winery, and we’re still smiling from all the love and support that filled the air!

We want to extend a huge thank you to Old Barn Winery for hosting us and creating such a welcoming space to celebrate the Derby while raising awareness for our rescue horses.

It was a day of sunshine, wine, laughter, and compassion. Guests enjoyed an afternoon full of live music that set the perfect tone, a photo booth featuring our very own rescue stars, Doc and Piper, who absolutely loved the attention (and treats!), and opportunities to donate and learn more about how they can help give horses a second chance at life. It reminded us why we do what we do. Every dollar donated goes directly to the care, feeding, and rehabilitation of the amazing horses who call Southern Sun Farm Sanctuary home.

To everyone who stopped by, donated, snapped a photo, or simply shared kind words—thank you. Your support means the world to us and to every horse we've rescued and will rescue in the future.
